These smiles are contagious... Next the wedding programs...

I'm still Alive...

I swear!

I have been doing some paper goods, but mostly just wedding programs...

But I have a big one coming up!  Some dear sweet friends of mine, almost like siblings (because we've all grown up together, only we don't fight like siblings) are getting married.  Joe Monahan and Emily Newton are tying the knot and asked me to do their paper goods.

I am super excited to do this for them.  I just finished their "Save-the-Dates" and we are getting started on her invites!

Stay Tuned...

Wedding Programs...

Another WONDERFUL wedding this week!

Ashlee & Damian Peyton had a great, sweet family and friends wedding in Springfield, IL this weekend and I got the privilege of doing their wedding programs.  They turned out great!

Pardon the quality of the pictures...all I had was a cell phone  :)

Website work...

One of my fellow co-workers at my day job decided to slightly redirect her career path and switched her primary job to residential real estate instead of commercial real estate which is what we do at D. Joseph Co.

She chatted with me about creating the look for her website which i was more than pumped to take a crack at! I can't build websites like I wish I could.  I really only know how to manipulate already created sites, but ask me take make pretty pictures for you and I got it!

So, we created the design and worked with a developer to incorporate it and POW!  It turned out great!  So,  take a look.  Below is a screen shot, but the web address is www.lakegolfhomes.com.

She really did a great job of adding and incorporating new media into her site AND her business.  I wish Barb all the best and she was a super easy client to work for!

The Wedding that Consumed Me...

Yeah...sorry...this took me a long time to post....

I am soooo gratful for the opportunity to do this job.  My boss at my day job, Brad Joseph, got married and wanted to support Wild Ginger.  I chatted with his fiance' about her ideas and between the three of us agreed that I could handle some of the printing for the wedding.

Definitely a learning experience!  And worth it!  Mr. and Mrs. Sheena & Brad Joseph had an imaculate Tiffany & Co. themed wedding on May 12 that blew the Lebanese socks off of anything I've ever seen!  I will post pictures of the wedding if I get any, but I did beautiful Thank You notes for Sheena's shower, the tri-fold pocket square Tiffany Box invitations topped with a crisp white ribbon, the rehearsal dinner invitations, rehearsal dinner name cards, and the reception name cards.

Take a look...
Also included but note shown in this picture was the silver return RSVP envelope that stuck behind the direction card.  Take note! Each one of those rhinestones were hand done...lots of rhinestones!

Big Job!  I did a grand total of 280 invites.

They arrived in a shimmer white envelope and this is what you pulled out.
I was pretty proud of the presentation... :)

I do not have a picture of the rehearsal dinner cards, but they were very simple and matched the invites in color and font.  Then for the reception name cards, there were 380 guests in attendance with 33 tables.

This is the name card we design to match the invitations.  We included a little bling at the top of the chandelier as well.  There was bling and Tiffany blue all over that evening!  It was BEAUTIFUL!

Big thanks to Mom, Dad, and my darling husband, Nathan!  I took this job and found out 2 weeks later we were having a baby, so my husband kept working straight through as I took mini breaks to sleep or deal with the "baby flu."  I'll need a few employees before I do anything of this size again.  But at least I know what I am capable of!  :)

Another side of Print Design....

Paper and website and logos are largely what I do, yes.  And I love designing dearly.  ALOT actually.  But my next love besides owls and pretty paper is FOOD!  I love eating food, looking at food and making food.

This past week, I got to make cupcakes for a friend's sister's baby shower that she was throwing.  She wanted 5 flavors.  The world knows, let the pregnant lady pick the cake, and I must say these were some excellent choices.  Pumpkin (I made a brown butter pumpkin cake with cinnamon frosting), Caramel Apple, Mint Chocolate, Mini Cheesecakes, & I picked the last that was strawberry (because that's one of my favs and its a pretty color).  They turned out pretty stinkin' cute.

AND everything looks better with GREAT photography...

We made the little tags out of scrapbook paper and toothpicks

So Thank You, Jen!  I loved making them.  I hear the "Not So Thin Mints" were pretty good.
Oh cupcakes, how I love you.

Wild Ginger Gone Etsy!

Today was a monumental Wild Ginger Week!  I sold my first two products on Etsy.  Granted they weren't prints, but they were craft projects around the house!  AWESOME!

Here's what I sold:

This is a ruffle tree skirt in different shades of white in different types of fabric.  It is BEAUTIFUL!
I am selling these for $35.  I have also had one special ordered in gray!  How exciting!

These are Scrabble Coasters and a Trivet.  I've had some people comment that they probably wouldnt put their drink on it, but look at it boggle style and see how many words they could come up with.  These sold for $15!

Yay for Etsy.  I'll have more up before the end of the year.  Now all I need is a nice printer, and I can get some of my paper creations posted!

P.S. Here's a Link to my Etsy Store
Enjoy!
